The 1991 CIAC Symposium was held in Japan over the course of three components. A public forum was held in Hakodate, Japan, the 3rd – 4th of July, 1991, which served as a showcase for international scientists to present their research to the Japanese public. The main workshop series on the Age, Growth and Population Structure of Cephalopods was held in Tokyo, Japan, the 8th – 13th of July, 1991. A symposium on Recent Advances in Cephalopod Fisheries Biology was held in Shimizu, Shizuoka, Japan from the 17th – 19th of July, 1991.
